Perthshire is home to some of the finest inland golf courses in the world and has a long golfing legacy.
Its golfing heritage and recent course developments ensures that there is a wide range of options for golfers of all ages and abilities. Choose from scenic Highland layouts, idyllic parkland settings, world famous centres such as Gleneagles which is hosting the 2014 Ryder cup or Rosemount at Blairgowrie which is the chosen venue for the junior Ryder cup in the same year and many 'hidden gems' spread throughout the area amidst stunning surroundings.
There are 38 courses in the region and over 60 courses within one hours drive of Dauna Lodge making it an excellent golf holiday base, these include many open qualifying courses such as, Ladybank, Downfield and Scotscraig.
Within a 5minute drive from Dauna Lodge there are three courses: Alyth Golf Club, Strathmore Golf Club and Glenisla Golf Club and you don’t have to travel far to find more familiar championship courses such as Carnoustie, St Andrews and Kingsbarns which are all hosts to the Dunhill links Championship every October.

Alyth Golf Course
Alyth is an 18-hole (6,259 yds) heathland layout, Alyth Golf Club was established in 1894. The original 9 holes were designed by the master Old Tom Morris of St Andrews with James Braid completing the extension in 1934.
Playing the course demands constant attention as a combination of tree lined fairways and diverse rolling terrain make the emphasis on precision golf rather than distance, although both are required.
Alyth's most demanding aspect however, might be it's tranquil setting. Within the pines, silver birch and heather and overlooking the nearby hills, it is easy to lose yourself in the joys of a good game of golf with a layout so conceived that you barely notice other groups of golfers.
We look forward to welcoming you to Alyth Golf Club.
Glenisla Golf Course | A Course for All Seasons
Open all year, this quality parkland course provides an enjoyable and testing challenge for golfers or all abilities. Designed by Tony Wardle, who has worked alongside Robert Trent Jones and Jack Nicklaus, the open fairways, natural contours and hazards of the course elicit the best from visitors, offering a stiff challenge to the more serious golfer off the back tees and forgiveness for the club golfer, for all but the most of wayward shots, from the forward tees.
